Jill and Jason’s October wedding took place on a beautiful blue sky day in Minneapolis. It always does my heart so good to wake up the day of a wedding and see such bright light beaming through my window. We took full advantage of it by taking photos downtown on the Stone Arch Bridge downtown and in Father Hennepin Bluff Park. Both the ceremony and reception took place at The Hutton House and Artemisia Studios created a beautiful floral backdrop above the fireplace. Kismet Events coordinated a lovely indoor and outdoor affair for guests. Some favorite details: Jill’s bridesmaids in blue dresses with stunning red shawls, the beautiful wooden reception tables and chairs, and a cardboard cutout of Justin Timberlake crashing the dance floor! Jill and Jason are the sort of people you wish were your friends and I’m lucky to call them friends now after shooting their wedding. I truly loved capturing their big day. Big thanks to my girl Julia Mary for assisting me again!

Jason’s last name is LaCroix and I adored how they leaned into the sparkling water joke for the wedding!

I’m so excited to finally blog this wedding! Meng and Ryan’s wedding at Paikka in St. Paul was an absolute floral dream! Lilia Flower Boutique truly knocked it out of the park and created a stunning floral arch that was front and center during the outdoor ceremony as well as inside behind the sweetheart table. This wedding solidified to me why Paikka is one of my favorite venues in the Twin Cities. It’s positioned southwest for the perfect sunset light and has some really unique industrial backdrops (those hummingbird doors!) that pair so well with the greenery that the venue provides. Speaking of favorites, the fabulous team at Maven Events was crucial in making the venue live up to its utmost potential. And as if all the above wasn’t enough of a reason for me to love this wedding, Meng made a special note to get photos with her cats before the ceremony! There’s just so much to love here and I hope you enjoy looking at the photos from this beautiful, summertime wedding day.
