i've been ELFed

Today, I was ELFed by a certain Britt. ;)

---

This dear neighbor and I have been through lots together. Although not always in the same high school classes, we've somehow managed to make plenty of memories.

Brittany writes me encouragement cards (not notes) when I'm upset. These cards are about lots of things, but one thing they're always about is God's Word. Britt never forgets to include at least one scripture verse from the Bible to point me back to God.

Today, she is a photographer.

Just last week we shared our first photography job together. We've both had jobs before this, but this was the first one side by side. I loved it.

Britt, you have grown so much in Jesus these past few years. I love spending time with you because I away walk away reminded of God's love. Thank you for staying my friend even when you've known me long enough to really know better. ;) You are so dear to me!!

Here is a quote from Spurgeon's Cheque Book for the Bank of Faith - a book you gave me a year ago on my 17th birthday. It reminds me of your walk with the Lord:

Proverbs 10:9 - He that walketh uprightly walketh surely. "His walk may be slow, but it is sure. He that hasteth to be rich shall not be innocent nor sure; but steady perseverance in integrity, if it does not bring riches, will certainly bring peace. In doing that which is just and right we are like one walking upon a rock, for we have confidence that every stop we talk is upon solid and safe ground."

Brittany, thank you for walking uprightly in Jesus Christ. I respect and love you so much!
