Katie and Kevin’s wedding was a real highlight for me last year. Their intimate take on a wedding was oh-so refreshing. Some of my favorite elements included Katie’s cocktail style wedding dress, the maid of honor and “Best Lady” as attendants, their “Bucket List” guestbook, and a custom “Cool Beans” enamel pin starring Katie’s beloved dog, Beans. So many personal touches which added so much charm to their non-traditional wedding at The Bachelor Farmer in the North Loop of Minneapolis.

ALY + AARON (A WEDDING AT THE LOFT AT EARLS YALETOWN IN VANCOUVER)

I like to think most of my clients have turned into friends by the time they walk they walk down the aisle. But when those clients also happen to be real-life friends who go way back, the feeling is overwhelming. I cried so many happy tears at Aly and Aaron's wedding their wedding day is almost a blur. Good thing lenses don't fog when eyes do so I have some wonderful photos to show it! Looking back at these photos my heart bursts with joy all over again. To see my friend Aly marry such a kind guy on such a beautiful Spring day, surrounded by plants of every kind, in the hip upstairs Loft at Earls Yaletown, was definitely a highlight from the past year.

The heart and soul of my love for photography has always been the people. And every single soul I crossed paths with at this wedding was sincere and lovely. It's always an honor to fly far and away for a wedding and this wedding was so exception. Now if only I could figure out how to slice this continent down the middle and bring Aly and Aaron closer to Minnesota...love you guys so much! xo
