Photographing Molly and Tom at Rosario Beach in Anacortes, Washington was complete magic. Tom is deploying soon so we were limited in the timeframe for the session. Nonetheless, we found the golden light in early February and I’m still amazed how warm these photos look despite the windchill being in the 30s! Molly was a complete champ hiking the cliffs in her dress and I’m so glad she was because I’m obsessed with how the wind looks in the photos! It was my first time photographing at Rosario Beach and was happy to find so many easy to hike spots. We photographed for about two hours and were able to hit up so many locations within walking distance. I highly recommend this area if you live in the Seattle or Bellingham and are looking for a location to do your engagement photos!

Calhoun Beach Club Wedding - Minneapolis, Minnesota - Lydia Jane Photography

Last August I had the pleasure of photographing Ornina and Matt’s vibrant and vivacious wedding at The Calhoun Beach Club in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Every wedding is a celebration but this wedding took it up a notch! Ornina’s family is Syrian and I can’t adequately put into words how much fun it was to photograph. It all began with champagne and dancing at Ornina’s parents house and the party didn’t wrap until late in the evening. I think the candids I captured during this wedding are some of my all-time favorites. I can still hear the music and laughter when I look at them. Another highlight for me was working with their florist, Martha’s Gardens. Her work, especially with greenery, never fails to make my jaw drop. What a perfect day!
