a little gnome fact...

...i love snow :D

Yesterday, school was finally cancelled and I got to relax, go sledding, watch tv, and throw parties! Hooray! It was best Valentine's snow ever, I believe. Mr. Porch Gnome agrees....

...and so does Mr. Pig Gnome.

...and Mikey. Well he agrees too, but he's also just too cute to not put up a picture of. :)

Mikey and Sean Mayo (who made a surprise visit) built a rather scary looking snowman out of the icy snow chunks.

Later, I looked out and saw it wasn't actually a snowman at all, but the Empire State Building. Why, of course?

But speaking of outside, goodness was it beautiful! An ice storm came in right after the snow storm so everything was shiny and glittering in the sun.

Lord, I can't even imagine what other beautiful things you have waiting for us in heaven! Wow! Thank you for showing us some of your wonder in your creation. You are so great.

Clap your hands, all peoples!
Shout to God with loud songs of joy!
For the Lord, the Most High, is to be feared,
a great king over all the earth.
-Psalm 47: 1-2

pure light

After dropping Kristen off from our shoot at Christ and Culture week I pulled a BrittK and went nature exploring with my camera. :) I've always loved the entrance to the Snyder's neighborhood so I put on my happy hazard lights and wandered around for 15 minutes or so. Here are the results to one of my favorite Matt Redman songs.

O, to see You as You are
To glimpse the wonders yet unseen
Assist my sight, unveil my eyes
To see You

Lord, to know You as You are
To even dare to speak or stand
Though marked beloved, to fall as dead
When I see You

How great the glory of Your name
How small the voice I humbly bring
Yet with my all I raise a song
When I see You

It is the song of love's pure light
The grace reflected in these eyes
The overflow of those who know
They have seen You

And through grace untold, to see You
With this heart unveiled, to know You
Lord, in Your pure light
