he has risen.

Now from the sixth hour there was darkness over all the land until the ninth hour. And about the ninth hour Jesus cried out with a loud voice, saying, "Eli, Eli, lema sabachthani?" that is, "My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?"... And behold, the curtain of the temple was torn in two, from top to bottom. And the earth shook, and the rocks were split.

And behold, there was a great earthquake, for an angel of the Lord descended from heaven and came and rolled back the stone and sat on it. His appearance was like lightning, and his clothing white as snow. And for fear of him the guards trembled and became like dead men. But the angel said to the women, "Do not be afraid, for I know that you seek Jesus who was crucified. He is not here, for he has risen, as he said. Come, see the place where he lay."

And when they saw him they worshiped him, but some doubted. And Jesus came and said to them, "All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age."

pure light

After dropping Kristen off from our shoot at Christ and Culture week I pulled a BrittK and went nature exploring with my camera. :) I've always loved the entrance to the Snyder's neighborhood so I put on my happy hazard lights and wandered around for 15 minutes or so. Here are the results to one of my favorite Matt Redman songs.

O, to see You as You are
To glimpse the wonders yet unseen
Assist my sight, unveil my eyes
To see You

Lord, to know You as You are
To even dare to speak or stand
Though marked beloved, to fall as dead
When I see You

How great the glory of Your name
How small the voice I humbly bring
Yet with my all I raise a song
When I see You

It is the song of love's pure light
The grace reflected in these eyes
The overflow of those who know
They have seen You

And through grace untold, to see You
With this heart unveiled, to know You
Lord, in Your pure light
