I'm so excited to post this wedding from the end of Summer 2014. It's always an honor when a friend asks me to be their wedding photographer. But even more so when I've known that friend for so long. Jen and I have been good friends for close to ten years now. She's a talented producer in the D.C. area and has been a faithful work (and sushi) buddy on days where we both just wanted some companionship while running our separate businesses. When Jen met Andrew I had a feeling he'd be in the picture for a while. After I met him over a sushi dinner (what else?) I quickly realized he enhanced all aspects of Jen's personality while adding to her overall happiness. He shared her sense of humor, appreciated her ideas, understood her feelings, and fueled her aspirations. And she, in turn, did the same for him. Andrew checked off all the qualities you hope your friends will find in a partner. I was (and am!) overjoyed for both of them.

Andrew and Jen are now added to my amazing list of wedding clients. In fact, four couples from that list were at Andrew and Jen's wedding! Sadly, I didn't get a chance to take a photo of Josh + Kate before they left, but I did photograph the couples below:

My dear brother and sister-in-law, Michael + Jocelyn. Whose wedding portraits I photographed in 2011. My best friend Kristen Morris of I'm Kristen was their official wedding photographer so I could enjoy it as a sister and guest. (Thanks, bestie!)

David + Sarah, whose wedding I photographed during my first year as a wedding photographer in 2008. Ages ago!

And, finally, two names you should absolutely know by now: Ian + Larissa Murphy. I've photographed them pretty much every year since I shot their wedding in 2010. And this year one of my wedding images was published on the front cover of their first book!
